Beyond The Mist
Pr. Shyleyn Chothe *
When the cool grey mist kiss the golden fields
I wake up my memories
From the long slept years
I pause, and close my eyes
Then, I grope around the past
For those moments i lost
And i hold them close
Them, i weepingly recall
Those quickened departed souls
When rain had refused to cease
And time chose to stand still
I take slow loving sighs
Still closing my eyes
Romancing those sweet memories
Shrouded by the visiting mist
Through the greyish draper
I lead myself further
I saw, a clouded hamlet
Houses, dressed in thatch
A hut for each soul
For all, young-alike and old
Among them, are my kins
But for aunt, they're unseen
Do they too miss us?
Their earthly kins, i ask
In our minds, they ever linger
Will that, they too remember?
She says, this is that paradise
Where to, earthly ones vie
Thus, there can be no memories
But rest, eternity and serenity.
