BJP North East Mission 2014 Meet

After Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been anointed as the PM candidate for BJP, the part leaders are focus on achieving Mission 272+. Keeping the importance of prestigious 25 (Twenty-five) Lok Sabha seats from the North Eastern region including Sikkim, a two day meet on BJP North East Mission 2014 was held on September 18 and 19, 2013 at Hotel Rajmahal in Guwahati.
The meeting was attended by Hon'ble Shri Rajnath Singh ji, National President; Shri Ram Lal ji, National General Secretary (Organisation); Shri S.S.Aluhwalia, National Vice President and Chairman of Election Campaign Committee, North East BJP; Shri Tapir Gao, National General Secretary; Shri P.B.Acharya, Senior National Leader; Shri Nalin Kohli, BJP Think Tank and Shri Chandrasekhar Rao, National Convenor of Security Cell, BJP.
Manipur delegates led by Shri Th. Chaoba Singh, (Former Union Minister) State President; Shri M. Asnikumar Singh, State General Secretary (Administration/Media Affairs); Shri Premananda Sharma, State General Secretary (Organization); Shri Kh. Bhabananda Singh, State General Secretary (Election Affairs & Morchas); Prof. Gangmumei Kamei, Co-Chairman, State Core Committee; Dr. R.K Ranjan Singh, Co-Chairman, State Vision Document; Shri Yanglet Haokip, Member of State Core Committee & Spokesperson; Shri Chidananda Singh, National Executive Member, BJYM and Shri Loli Adani, Ex Lok Sabha Candidate of BJP.
The report presented in the Meeting by State General Secretary (Administration & Media Affairs), Shri M. Asnikumar Singh, BJP, Manipur Pradesh was appreciated by the National Leaders for successfully incorporating the in-depth analysis of issues and vision documents of the Party and status quo of the party organisation and political developments well as administrative reports of BJP Manipur Pradesh since January 2013 till date.
National delegates have also invited the State BJP delegates for a closed door meeting from 5 to 6 pm to discuss inclusively the prevailing political scenario within the State and also the Socio-Economic crisis in the region particularly in the State of Manipur.
Important issues were discussed to be included in the BJP National Agenda for Election 2014, keeping in mind the problems and prospects of North East region. Inclusive development of the Region through Trans Super Highway, connecting all North East States, with special preference on Moreh in Manipur in sync with the existing Look East Policy should be given priority.
Burning issues like the Indo Myanmar border fencing was consider and re-demarcation of the boundary was seriously taken by National leaders and suggestion for good bilateral relationship between Myanmar and India was considered as important step towards bringing amicable solution on border disputes. This must avoid further conflict between two countries.
There must be North East Integrated planning in the National Agenda of BJP where Conservation of Bio-diversity and Eco-system must be given priorities, with special reference to Loktak Lake which is the only freshwater Lake in Eastern India as well as in South East Asia. Keibul Lamjao National Park (Floating National Park of 42 Sq/Kms), which is the only natural habitat of Sangai (brow antlered deer), unique deer in the World, must also be preserved and "Sangai" should be taken up as National Tiger Conservation Project like other conservation taken up in other parts of the country.
The Agro/Horticulture based industry must be promoted in the region to provide employment opportunities in the region. Human Resource Development (HRD) through proper education facility must be established with modern facilities in the region and upliftment of the Socio-Economic condition of the different indigenous people living in the North East region must be included in the National Agenda of the Party so that the Socio-Economic condition of the North Eastern Region will be improved certainly.
Under the HRD Sector, promotion of youth’s activities through Sports, Arts, Culture and Handicrafts must be given priority through proper policies in the National Agenda of our Party. Over and above while, any kind of activities and policies made on North East Region must protect the indigenous and traditional rights of the people.
All the above agendas were discussed at length along with the National leaders and most of these shall be reflected in the National Manifesto & Vision Document of BJP Election 2014 as assured by Shri Rajnath Singh ji.
The National President, Shri Rajnath Singh ji had a meeting with Shri Chaoba Singh, State President and Shri M Asnikumar Singh, State General Secretary (Adm. & Media Affairs) on present political scenario of the State and reassures that Manipur BJP is having lot of prospective candidates for Lok Sabha Election in 2014. Prominent political personalist of political and social are likely to join the BJP, Manipur Pradesh in the nearest future.
Today, at 8.30 AM, led by Shri Chaoba Singh, along with leaders from Manipur had met Shri Rajnath Singhji, Shri Ramlalji, Shri S.S. Aluhwalia ji and Shri Tapir Gao ji on prospective candidates for Lok Sabha Election. The National Leaders have expressed their confident on State BJP and promised that there will always provided room for the State Party at the National Level as and when required.
Shri Chaoba Singh reassures that BJP Manipur Pradesh have 3 prospective Candidates for the Inner Lok Sabha and 2 for the Outer Lok Sabha seats and however no names has been disclosed. The selection of candidates will be on merit which will be decided on the State Office bearers, State Core Committee, State Political Affairs Committee & State Election Committee. Thereafter, their name will be send to the Central Office for consideration & further due processed, which will be decided by the Central Election Committee and Central Parliamentary Board of BJP for final decision. Then only, the name of the candidates will be finalist.
No one has been given assurance of awarding Party ticket as of now from the BJP, Manipur Pradesh.
