At a crossroad
Ranbir Laishram *
Where the mind's full of fear and grief,
And the head's low and spirits lose belief;
Where there's lockdown, sirens and beatings,
And no dearth of chaos, uncertainty and misunderstandings;
Where brutally abused are the frontline warriors,
And the HEALERS succumbed to the unseen ' FEAR';
Where the imploring patients stopped breathing,
A " Miracle DRUG" was their only craving;
Where every giant infirmary was teeming,
The needs of the victims ever brimming;
Where the weary traveller walks miles and miles,
For a meagre loaf and that ' Homely Smile' ;
Where DEATH overhangs the heads of the ' have nots ',
And everything stands still on a low note;
Where the eyes of daily wagers're streaming,
Their bellies- a storm, their minds sobbing;
Where the fetus daren't leave its cocoon,
To its mother's pounding heartbeat, it swoon;
Where all races converge for the first time,
As a mammoth family, to fight this time;
Where the noble health workers are at a CROSSROADS,
Their greatest dilemma and the towering load;
For the first time in FOREVER,
MOTHER NATURE's in a tranquil slumber.
The tiny enemy unseen,Its mighty scourge we've seen.
Let life flow as it is -The answer may be in a hidden oasis.
Let Mother Nature and the Almighty Bring the judgement
and VERDICT mighty.
" If winter comes, can spring be far behind? "
If this catastrophic pandemic comes, can the revival of
nature and Humanity be far behind?
This harrowing Pandemic - a spring high tide!
On a pitiless worldwide safari ride.
But alas!
Life will take a different course,
Though Mother Nature will smile without remorse.
Is the world coming to an end?
Hope it slides down to a WORMHOLE's happy end.
