Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Apr 17 (NPN)
Reacting to what it called “serious allegation” made against joint operation conducted by 6 Assam Rifles and 164 Inf Bn TA (Naga) at Tizit on April 8 last, which was published in a section of the local press April 10, the Assam Rifles Tuesday clarified that operations were launched on receipt of “specific intelligence” about the “concealment of huge quantity of warlike stores” in the house of NSCN (I-M) “tatar” Manpoh Konyak.
Pointing out that cease fire ground rules (CFGR) did not permit “keeping of arms, ammunition, explosives and grenades” in the residences of NSCN faction members, the PRO said only card holders authorized specifically by the CFMB were permitted to keep weapons for their protection.
