Assam Rifles (AR) refutes NSCN (K) allegations
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Jun 9 (NPN)
Assam Rifles (AR) Saturday refuted NSCN (K) claim that it violated cease-fire ground rule (CFGR) in Kohima and termed it as “totally false and baseless”. In a statement, AR said that the recent increase factional fillings between NSCN (K) and GPRN/NSCN that risked the lives of innoncent civilians has led to grave security concerns. Despite repeated appeals by civil societies and the masses, AR said that armed cadres continued to stay in towns and vilages.
Referring to June 8 incident at a house in Agri-Forest colony in Kohima, AR said two armed NSCN (K) cadres were staying in the house when it was searched in a joint operation with the police based on “confirmed input” and not raided as alleged.
