Angami folktale ‘Man Tiger Spirit’ showcased at London event
Nagaland Post | DIPR | Dimapur, Jul 8
A unique animation film based on a Naga folk tale and paintings by London-based artists hailing from India’s north-east were the highlights of an event at the Nehru Centre here to celebrate the art and culture of the region. Douglas, who is working on a PhD at Bournemouth University, also presented details of an animation workshop she organised in Manipur earlier this year.
Two London-based artists with origins in the north-east, Radha Binod Sharma (Tripura) and Bula Chakravarty Agbo (Assam) showcased their work, while Dr Irengbam Mohendra Singh delivered a presentation on Manipur culture. The event included an interaction between the artists and members of the audience.
