ADMISSION NOTIFICATION OF THE FOUR YEAR B.TECH. PROGRAMMES
(Approved by the AICTE) Academic Session: 2023-2024

Online applications arc invited from intending eligible candidates (both Fresh and Lateral Entry candidates) for admission to the following Four-Year B.Tcch. Programme at Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET), Dibrugarh University for the Academic Session 2023-2024:

o Computer Science & Engineering (With Minor in AI and Machine Learning)
o Electronics & Communication Engineering (With Minor in IoT and Data Science)
o Mechanical Engineering (With Minor in Additive Manufacturing or 3D printing)
o Petroleum Engineering

Eligibility:

o Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics except Computer Science &Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering for which Chemistry is not mandatory as per AICTE Approval Process Handbook (API-I) 2023-2024. Candidates must obtain at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector (The Universities will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achieve desired learning outcomes of the programme)

o Must have CEE Assam-2023 (Engineering) or JEE-2023 (Mains) score.

o The candidate must be a citizen of India with a permanent resident certificate of Assam [Not applicable for candidates ofJEE-2023 (Mains)].

o The candidate must not be above 21 years or below 17 years of age on 1" August, 2023. There shall be a relaxation of 03 (three) years in the upper age limit for SC/ST candidates. However, the maximum age limit for B.Sc. passed students is 22 years.

o The Candidate must possess a good moral character.

o The Candidate must be physically and mentally fit.

Lateral Entry: The Eligibility criteria for Lateral Entry to the 34 Semester classes for the B. Tech. Programs mentioned above shall be as follows:

o Passed Minimum THREE years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology. OR

Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

o The candidates must be physically fit and possess a good moral character.

o The candidates will have to produce the Citizenship Certificate at the time of admission. Students from abroad shall have to fulfil the requisite conditions as prescribed by the Govt. of India.

Admission Criteria and Procedure:

o Selection will be done on the basis of performance in the CEE- 2023 or JEE-2023 in addition to the fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria.
o Reservation and Relaxation Policy shall be followed as per the Government Rules.
o The eligible applicants shall be informed by the University for counselling and admission sessions on the basis of the CEE-2023 and JEE.2023 scores. The cut-off marks and Schedule for counselling and admission session shall be notified by the University in due course of Time.
o Separate notifications for entrance examinations of the lateral entry candidates shall be notified later on.

Schedule:

o Online Application for B. Tech programs (both fresh and lateral) will begin from : 12/06/2023
o The Last Date of Submission of Online filled in Application Form: 10/07/2023 (till 11:55 p.m.)

Application Procedure:

I. Application for Four Years B. Tech. Programmes shall be through online mode only. No other means of application shall be accepted.
2. Online Registration for submission of Application Form will begin front 12.06.2023. The last date for submission of application is 30.07.2023 (till 11.55 n.in.)
3. For submission of the Online Application Form, intending candidates are advised to follow the following instructions:
a) The candidate shall be required to visit the Application Portal for admission on the website- www.dibru ac.in.
b) The Candidate needs to register on the portal by clicking the "Register" button and providing his/her name, mobile number and a password. The mobile number will be verified through an OTP. Please remember the password for login.
c) After successful registration, the candidate needs to login using his/her mobile number and the password.
d) After login, the candidate needs to click on the "Apply" button corresponding to the link of "Four Years B. Tech. Programme" which will lead to an application form The candidate needs tofill up the application form step by step.
e) After completion of the filling-up the Form Candidate needs to click the button "Submit and Review". A preview of the filled-up form will be displayed. Candidates are advised to carefully cross-check the information and if anything needs to be corrected at this stage, they can go back and edit .
0 After ensuring that all the information displayed on the Preview is correct, the candidate needs to click 'Pay now .
4 Submit the application" and the pay the application fee of Rs /000/- only through online mode (Debit Card/Credit Cardthitemet Banking).

NOTE: g) The application form will be considered finally submitted only when the application fee is successfully paid by the candidate and an online receipt is generated confirming the payment.
h) There will be a button to download your Application Form for future reference.
0 The Submission of Online Application Fonts shall be automatically closed after the bst date.
4. There shall be no alternative woo:thee for Application for applying to the Four Years B. Tech. Programme and the University shall net receive the Application except the procedtre mentioned at (2) above.

o The candidates must fulfill the Minimum Eligibility Criteria for admission, besides his/ her position in the CEE- 2023/HE-2023.
