A wounded Pine Tree
Herojit Philem *
A wounded pine tree stands
Resisting the wind
Its image flew not away from my mind
Villagers with a knife unveil layers of the trunk
And carry home the veil
With blood on it to start a fire at the kitchen
But the pine shows not its tears
Even though it bleeds ceaselessly and pain it bears
It heals itself and grows very tall
Every man coming near cannot imagine its tales told.
