Cry for justice on third anniversary of Manipur firing
The Telegraph | Khelen Thokchom | Imphal, July 23:
“Now he considers me his mother, though he still remembers the gruesome incident. But he thinks that I am his wounded mother who has survived,” his aunt, Laijalembi Devi, said. Laijalembi, wife of Loyasana, elder brother of Chinglensana, Rabina’s husband, and the rest of the family wants Russel to have a normal life and proper education.
“One day he will come to know that I am not his mother. But for the moment we want him to live like a normal child,” she said.
The family plans to send Russel for studies to his uncle, Thokchom Chingthangsana, who is an army officer in Indore, when he reaches the upper primary level. Russel is now studying in kindergarten in an Imphal school.
