A feeling from Australia - in both the cases Manipur Burns
Shanta Nahakpam *
"A person wants to go to his home village: P Chidambaram" statement is a shame.
The GOI has been adamant to create tension in the North Eastern India using the NSCN –IM as the gun powder. P Chidambaram’s statement that MUIVAH wants to visit his home state and the government wants to stop it is a shame on the part of the GOI.
The GOI has been negotiating of the problem with NSCN but how an immaturity statement does come up. The GOI knows that NSCN is actually a separatist who is in the line of cease fire which has been extended time and now. Does the GOI recognise that NSCN is running a government parallel to that of any state due to which communal conflict is invited?
The killing of TH Kishan by NSCN and many Kuki brothers as well as the ongoing blockade and other problem has always been appraised by the Gov of Manipur to the GOI. Now if Muivah is a person who wants to come home what is NSCN (IM) when we say IM we should remember that there is another group which also signifies a difference between the IM. Does this means that they are also an extremist that is in the line of cease fire which can be called off anytime the GOV wants.
NSCN (IM) and Naga rebels if allowed to move freely and if Muivah is a person who wants to come home than Mr Chidambaram lacks knowledge of the conflict in the N E. The ceasefire is in force in Nagaland and Muivah lands in Delhi GOI request the local GOV in Manipur to provide security.
All things happening shows that GOI has not at all studied anything of the Naga Issue. The lands involved are not a no man’s land. Mr Chidambaram should work in the line of democracy such a learned man he is but forgot to feel that NSCN is a separatist group. The Gen Secy of a separatist group wants to come home in the name of coming home he wants to bring the line of separation to the state which Manipur Gov want to stop, is what Mr P C did not mention.
Mr Muivah and his followers is indeed the playing to the tune of GOI who is actually trying to divide the state and the people. We should indeed realise; if Muivah comes the Valley burns and if Muivah does not comes home the hill burns in both the cases Manipur Burns.
Let us not let the GOI play with us.
GOI should publish the cease fire agreement to the people of the North East and eminent lawyers should file a case against the GOI finding loop holes in cease fire agreement and Muivah’s travel why and how he has been travelling with the escort ship of the GOI and Nagaland.
Muivah is a rebel leader and the rebel group NSCN according to GOI does not have a cease fire in Manipur if I am not wrong, somebody please explain Mr Chidambaram.
More over GOI is not in the pocket of Mr Chidambaram. A very matured comment is expected by people like us and please do not comment if you lack knowledge of the conflict.
By you, I mean any one, even me since it is a very complicated issue.
