TODAY -
A Saviour Of My Own
Debina Sanasam *
The storm was never too evident
For it comes creeping slowly
Down the isolated pathway of life
It was an unwelcomed stranger
Smiling down as a known friend
Changing the curve of the lips
Right into an image of a rainbow
Salty dreams run down
Into a plain feathery path
Havoc was it created
A parting gift in its wake
The hand doesn't even rise
To bade a hearty farewell
For it was never welcomed
But when time comes
Pounding on your soul
You realised with a simple ooh
That the unfriendly storm
Was a long known acquaintance
Disguised as a stranger to a fault
It was after all
A saviour of my own
