Subject: A rejoinder to KSO-B notification (dated 3.08.2013): in regard to TSA-B Executive Member Michael Lamjathang Haokip
Respected Members,
Apropos to KSO-B press statement which appears in some social networking sites, which accused Michael Lamjathang Haokip of forming an organization for his personal interest and elevating himself to President, TSA- B is compelled to clarify certain points inter alia regarding the formation of TSA- B.
KSO- B's vital role and initiative for the past 33 years in Bengaluru is highly commendable and needs no introductions, but it is really unfortunate that KSO-B has stooped down so low to malign and accused an individual, which is unbecoming of a student's Organization or for that matter any reputed organization.
These reflects their true attitude being immature, coward and animosity towards the society. Without further exposition, the migration of the Thadou from the North Eastern states for education and work in the metropolitan city of mainland India is nothing new and dates back to as far as 30 years.
Due to the vulgar mindset of the mainland Indians, many students has experienced various forms of racial discrimination and insecurity. To eliminate discriminations and hardships, student from Northeast form their own student organization based on their linguistic tribe, but it was unfortunate that the Thadou tribe have no student body of their own till date.
So in the recent days some of the Thadou students who reside in Bangalore consult TSA-GHQ with a prospect of forming a student organization. Fortunately, TSA-GHQ fully endorsed the initiatives of the students and advice an appointment to organize and form the student organization.
Eventually, on June 29, 2013 a General meeting was held and an executive member was elected on the same day. On 03-08-13 an oath-taking function was organized with the motto 'March forward' in the presence of TSA-GHQ speaker Tonglen Thadou.
On the contrary to our expectation that KSO-B will facilitate and encourage TSA-B, it has asserts that any form of organization from the Kuki community will be against the constitution of KSO-B and has acted immaturely by accusing and defaming an official of another organization.
Any personal attack on an executive of TSA- B will be taken as an attack on the Organization and shall not be tolerated under any circumstance. If the attitude of KSO-B remained unchanged, all the Thadou speaking students and alike within the city shall withdraw from the so called KSO-B and this will be the ultimate fate of KSO-B, for which they will be solely responsible.
TSA-B is not against KSO-B instead wished to work hand in hand with KSO-B and appeal KSO-B not to meddle in TSA's affairs but support one another in the efforts towards unity and progress. This Libel act of KSO- B is highly deplorable and warrants a Libel suit.
However, as an act of good gesture TSA- B has decided to condone it , at the same time would like to clarify that any further attempt to dishonor the organization will not be taken lightly and will be deal accordingly. It may not be out of place to mentioned that even the Indian constitution in Article part III section no. 19 (Rights to forms organization or union) explicitly states about the freedom to form an organization according to the needs and the Thadou Society having a student body of their own is legitimate and appropriate.
Last but not the least, KSO-B instead of wasting their valuable time in defaming an indiividual may introspect the following questions.
1. In what matter do KSO-B has the rights to opposed TSA-B while SSPP, Kom student, Gangte student, Vaiphei student, Hmar student exist within the city of Bangalore?
2. If KSO-B think they are the apex student body why is there exclusion of certain tribe like the Paite and Hmar within the student organization?
3. Why has the KSO-B accused Michael Lamjathang Haokip for the student organization and called him mischievous?
4. Is the KSO-B formed with the consult of all the Kuki tribes?
Thank you.

L Manggougin Information Secretary TSA Bengaluru
