A Play in Three Acts
K. Radhakumar *
(1)
Let me define what is
By what is not.
Life is not a bed of roses
And that's life.
More content, less bitter, please.
(2)
Marriage is the herald of decay
And death the herald of birth.
I affirm my allegiance to life
And I swear my loyalty unto death.
(3)
A bard writes a beautiful poem,
Then another
And then another.
The most beautiful poem of one's life!
No, not yet.
We have had that shrew of a housewife
Poking around and asking questions.
'Don't write anything about
The rising unemployment in Asia
The undernourishment of children in Africa.'
'As if I would.'
