A Battle Weary Bird
Potshangbam Nyaydhar *
As a bird so blithe,
"He" roamed as if drifting
Around the streets and rivulets
Ignoring the cries of his mother,
Still roamed "He" unheeded,
Not knowing what future lies ahead
Unprepared for the battle so near,
Roamed "He" without any fear,
Ignored "He" his beloveds' care
Arrogance of his will put him rear
At the very far rear
Of those with resolute ones
The battle 'yet to come' seems
"The battle" of equations or else and
For that battle a month a way
But his mind is getting swayed
Half his mind may sound dumb,
May not be even this,
For, "He" could solve trigonometry systems,
Like the flowing rivulets,
The days went by,
But, the battle approaches,
To his life's every bent,
Still roamed "He" with a bunch of friends
Not knowing what future could form.
