Stop Corruption

It is very unfortunate to hear the sentence, "It is not an easy task to control them" from our Hon. Dy Chief Minister Mr Gaingakham, referring to the errant MP officer caught in drug smuggling case.

If the father figures of Home Dept. who is responsible for fine tuning the dept fails to control the errant officers who else will.

I would like to ask a question to our dear minister, who recruits the errant/personals with criminal background/indiscipline people into the police force. I bet all of those involved in the drug smuggling case must have paid high ransom during their recruitment process.

An honest police personal who gets selected with his own merit would never dare to move on the wrong direction, playing game with his career, image and of course his hard earned job.

People who do not know what does it take to achieve something to be proud of, something worthy to possess; how much determination, hard work and investment does one need to put in to achieve something to be proud of in life; will only do such irresponsible and illegal act.

It is high time the lawmakers, ministers and all related officials of the police department, specially our Chief Minister Ibobi and DGP Y Joykumar to stop fooling the people.

If anything of such severity of crime happens in Manipur, it is all because of the incapability of the govt. and corruption groomed by the head of the Government.

It's unfortunate that the government as well as the police department, despite all those spree of unwanted happenings, have still not come out with a concrete plan to crush the nexus. This only tells the incapability perhaps involvement of the people from the govt. as well as police dept in the nexus.

It is all known to the people of the state that all these happens only because of the corrupted govt. disintegrating the foundation of the peaceful state, morality of people, disintegrating the worthiness of Quality in education, disintegrating the very foundation of honesty and responsibility, by resorting to OPEN corruption in the recruitment process of Manipur Police Dept.

I myself know of people who could never pass one exam properly in his school days, lying flat, idling around for years as wastage, who does not know how to write a proper English sentence; recruited to MP through bribe of lakhs of rupees and now sitting as Sub inspector of MP commando, boasting around with khaki, defacing the purity and sacredness of the uniform mean for smart and intelligent police officers.

I know of SI who are drug addict(pseudoephedrine tablets), SI who confess himself that he was once a bluehill driver, but recruited with the help of Ex-CM by bribing 12 lakhs; constables without toes. ASI( now promoted to SI) who had to sold his land holdings to paying 7 lakhs; Zamadar who was not in the list of PT, however bribed and his name emerged on a new revised list .... and many more.

What can we expect from such officers for the security and safety of the people? Why our Dy CM should deplores for his men being caught in a wrong act.

They are meant to do such act as they were legally allowed to enter service through wrong means. Why should we deplore?

It is high time we all should step up, else we are on the verge of total chaos. The Govt. should stop corruption practices in recruitment and we public should stop being selfish, instead of selling our property for a post in the police dept. by being a part of the job auction of Ibobi and his corrupted colleagues.

We all ought to stand up and fight against corruption to save the future of our children.
