Javadekar to visit Northeast
The Telegraph | Guwahati, Jan. 7:
Minister of state (in-charge) for environment, forest and climate change Prakash Javadekar will be on a three-day visit to the Northeast, beginning tomorrow. Official sources said the minister would start the visit tomorrow, with a meeting with forest officers in Imphal, followed by a meeting with farmers practising shifting cultivation. Later, he will visit the Kangla Fort.
On Saturday, Javadekar will visit Loktak lake and Keibul Lamjao National Park in Bishnupur district of Manipur. Keibul Lamjao is the only floating park in the world and is an integral part of Loktak lake.
