Imphal, July 12: The KRA (U) has hailed the people responsible for eliminating DT Haokip at Dimapur on July 10 night.

Explaining its stand, self styled publicity secretary of the outfit, Lenin Ch said that after DT Haokip was expelled from the KRA due to some internal differences he joined the NSCN (IM) holding the rank of joint secretary.

Though DT Haokip had joined the NSCN (IM) he was determined to break the KRA into two factions and accordingly he called up a number of Meitei friends who had helped him while he was with the KRA and held a meeting near Dimapur.

DT Haokip was adamant that for the KRA to break up, its founding president Khuplam Hansing should be eliminated.

Thus he sold his silver coloured Bolero and deputed his men including some Meitei men to Delhi to kill Hangshing.

After this, DT Haokip hatched a conspiracy eliminate all the Meitei men in the KRA (U) and got in touch with the security forces leading to the arrest of 8 KRA (U) men near Dimapur.

Though a number of Meitei youths are currently languishing in Tihar jail for the killing of Hangshing, DT Haokip never even once talked about them, alleged Lenin.

Though DT Haokip was the key man in floating the KRA (U) he was a double crosser and met the fate he deserved.

The outfit has also negated the allegations of the police, that a grenande was recovered from Wangkhem Pritam shot dead by police commandos yesterday.

KRA (U) maintained that Pritam was its overground worker and no arms and explosives were issued to him.

The statement added that it shares the grief and pain of the family members.
