Imphal, August 19 2023: A team of Imphal West commando arrested one active member and two associates of KCP (Taibanganba) group from Singjamei Sougrakpam Leikai near Jockey showroom today at around 2 pm under Singjamei police station.

The arrested persons are identified as Oinam Nilson alias Lemba alias Thoi Singh (36), son of late Th Nilachandra Singh of Pishum Oinam Leikai; Salam Ranjit alias Ahumsuba Singh (35), son of S Chandra Singh of Moirang Khunou Sabal Leikai and Haobijam Haridash Singh (41), son of late H Mani Singh of Sayang Bazar.

The commando team seized four mobile handsets, one WRV Honda car without registration number and three Aadhaar cards from the possession of the arrested persons.

On preliminary interrogation, O Nilson disclosed that he is an active member of KCP (Taibanganba group) and presently works under SS Chairman Haobijam Dilip alias Taibanganba of Bishnupur, said a police source.

Nilson also disclosed that he demanded money from some shops located in and around Imphal on the advice of his commander, the source said.

It is learnt that the arrested persons along with the seized articles have been handed over to Singjamei PS for necessary action.
