Imphal, February 02 2015: Hockey Union, Lairikyengbam; KHSC, Khongman; AMHA, Moirang and Lizard Library claimed victories in the ongoing 1st Wahengbam Thoibi Devi Challenge Hockey Trophy 2015 organised by Manipur Hockey at Khuman Lampak hockey stadium.

In the first match of the day, Hockey Union downed PHAM by a margin of 6 goals to four.

Hockey Union's M Dhananjoy slammed home four goals in the 7th, 14th, 33rd and 36th minute while Sh Amujao netted two goals in the 53rd and 57th minute.

PHAM's goals were scored by K Deveshor in the 12th and 38th minute, K Rabikanta in the 69th minute and Kh Jayanta in the 35th minute.

YCCIC and KHSC players vie for the ball

In another match, KHSC defeated YCCIC by a margin of 6 goals to 2 .

Stunning strikes from N Bhaskar, H Thangamba, L Deepu and N Jenjen in the 25th, 45th, 49th and 80th minute respectively and a brace from Th Kirankumar in the 20th and 69th minute gave KHSC 6 goals.

YCCIC managed to find just two goals from Bikram and P Monesh in the 64th and 29th minute respectively.

In the third match, AMHA registered a convincing 7-3 win against Lizard Library.

AMHA's goals were scored by M Johnson (38th, 49th), M Bronson (6th), Ph Sobha (4th), K Ibungo (14th), M Sanyomani (7th) and M Rabichandra in the 46th minute.

A brace from M Sibananda in the 33rd and 53rd minute and N Jilele in the 50th minute rounded off Lizard Library's fightback.

In the third and last match of the day, Radial Club pulverised Meira by a margin of 13 goals to 1 .

Five goals from Ratul in the 9th 38th, 43rd, 50th and 55th minute, Hasbir's double strike in the 1st and 40th minute and Karan, Niranjan Boro, Vijay Yadav, Md Faiz Sarwar, Jatinderpal and Rituraj Boro's goals in the 5th, 59th, 16th, 4th and 3rd minute gave Radial Club 13 goals.

S Mesil was the lone scorer for Meira.

Tomorrow, SEYO will clash with KHSC, SSB will meet Hockey Union and Radial Club will compete with PHAM.
