TYPC, KPC cruise in 1st State Men's Open Polo Tournament

Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club (TYPC) and Kouta Polo Club (KPC) emerged easy winners on the second day of the 1st State Level Men's Open Polo Tournament 2024 on Tuesday at Khull Palli Hiyanglam-Wabagai Terapishak ground, Kakching.
TYPC started the day with a 11-4 hammering of Chingkheihunba Polo Club-B .
The Thangmeiband riders jumped out to a 4-2 lead in the opening period, with Sinam Bonbon scoring twice and Th Nongpoknganba and A Alex getting one each.
For CPC-B, H Pritam and Th Manisana converted for their team.
In the second period, TYPC stretched their advantage to 6-3 courtesy of Bonbon and Nongpoknganba, their second goal each, while Pritam also scored his second goal for CPC-B.The third period saw both teams collect one goal a piece with A Alex scoring his second goal for TYPC and Pritam his third for CPC-B.TYPC then roared into action in the fourth period, pumping in four goals as Bonbon collected two more goals to complete his four-goal haul, with Sinam Sadia and Sinam Bimol adding one apiece to hand their side an emphatic victory.
KPC, meanwhile, cruised to a 10-1 triumph over Nambul Mapal Polo Club-A (NMPC-A) .
Akoijam Ibomcha led the rout with five goals as both Md Abdul Malik and Abujam Abung grabbed a double, with Md Amir Khan contributing one in their overwhelming win.
NMPC-A scored their consolation goal through Mahesh.
