Governor's Cup Polo Tournaments : AR Polo Team set up women's final date with IRC; MPSC-B gallop into men's final

AR Women's Polo Team came out all guns blazing to devastate MPSC by 18-1 to set up a final date with Imphal Riding Club in the 20th Governor's Cup Women's Polo Tournament 2025 .
N Laxmi and Mutum Enourembi led the onslaught today adding four goals apiece as Oinam Veronica and Oinam Victoria added three goals apiece.
AR Polo Team got off to a flying start with Veronica, N Laxmi, H Pity and M Enoulembi scoring a goal apiece in the first chukker before Enourembi and Veronica added two goals each and N Laxmi and Th Bindi found a goal apiece to make it 10-0 at halfway mark.

MPSC's condition further deteriorated with H Pity scoring her second and last goal in the third chukker before N Laxmi scored her last two goals to put AR Women's Polo Team ahead by 13-0 goals.
Y Shila scored the consolation goal for MPSC in the final chukker before Enourembi and Th Bindi took their turns to add a goal each and Oinam Victoria slammed home three goals on the trot to complete the 18-1 demolition work. With the victory, AR Women's Polo Team will take on IRC in the title clash of the 4-team tournament on April 18 .
Later in the day, MPSC-B staged a massive comeback to crush Chingkheihunba Polo Club by 10-2 goals in the first semi-final match of the ongoing 31st Governor's Cup Invitation Men's State Polo Tournament 2025 .
H Abung Khuman, T Pradeep and Salam Viking led the scoring today as MPSC-B registered the massive win and sealed their place in the final.
O Rozer and A Basanta scored a goal apiece in the first chukker to hand Chingkheihunba Polo Club a 2-0 lead but Salam Viking pulled back a goal in the second chukker before T Pradeep and H Abung Khuman scored a goal apiece in the third chukker to overturn the lead.
Chingkheihunba Polo Club failed to make their way back in the final chukker and MPSC-B surged to a huge lead with Viking and S Abungcha scoring a goal apiece.
T Pradeep scored two more goals to further stretch the lead before H Abung Khuman struck three goals back to back in the remainder of the final chukker to seal the 10-2 win.
Black Watch PC will play X-Polo Club in the next semi-final match tomorrow afternoon at the same venue (Mapal Kangjeibung-Imphal Pologround) .
