LOTUS, YUCC, YPHUC cruise in MNCA Boys' U-14 tourney

Imphal, January 30 2025: LOTUS, YUCC, and YPHUC secured emphatic wins, while YESSDAN also triumphed in Thursday's fixtures of the 4th MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament 2024-25 .

LOTUS handed out a massive 305-run defeat to CHAMP in their encounter at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang).

The opening pair of Taiyenjam Sachin (138 not out) and Thongam Kingson (111 not out) were instrumental with the bat, guiding their side to a formidable total of 354 in 30 overs.

Subsequently, LOTUS' bowlers dismantled CHAMP's batting line-up, bowling them out for just 49 in 12.2 overs.

Elangbam Yohenba and Mayengbam Tomthin claimed two wickets each, while Mayengbam Yohenba, Huidrom Jenish, and Korounganba Lourembam each took one wicket in a comprehensive victory.

At SEDOC Ground, YUCC triumphed over KCC by 80 runs.

Batting first, YUCC posted 225 in 29.1 overs, with Rajbir Khumanthem top-scoring with 124 and Shresth Oinam contributing 25.In reply, KCC were bowled out for 145 in 21.5 overs, despite a resilient 67 from Niyas Khan.

Rajbir Khumanthem led the YUCC attack with 4 wickets, while Jaheer and Salam Trivankar took 2 wickets each, and Shresth Oinam added one.

YPHUC beat BKCC by 5 wickets at PTRC Ground, Patsoi Part-IV.

BKCC were restricted to 169/7, with Khundom Puhenba taking 3 wickets, Konsam Mangal claiming 2, and Jangammei Maringmei and Yaioiba Ningombam contributing one each.

YPHUC successfully chased down the target in 24.3 overs, with Loktongbam Tomthilnganba (54), Purujit Mutum (24), and Yaioiba Ningombam (22) leading the way, as they lost 5 wickets in the process.

YESSDAN, meanwhile, narrowly defeated SSC by 8 runs at Lairenjam Public Ground.

YESSDAN posted a total of 146/10 in 24.1 overs and successfully defended it, bowling SSC out for 138 in 26.1 overs.
