Polo: Assam Rifles, MPSC-B script emphatic wins in Governor's Cup

Imphal, April 15 2025: Assam Rifles Polo Team and MPSC-B made light work of their respective opponents in the Governor's Cup Polo Tournament 2025 at Mapal Kangjeibung on Tuesday.

The Assam Rifles side produced a ruthless display, thrashing MPSC 18-1 in a one-sided women's fixture.

Mutum Enourembi and N Laxmi Devi spearheaded the assault with four goals each, while Veronica Oinam and Victoria Oinam added three apiece.

H Pitu and Th Bindi Chanu contributed two goals each to complete the rout.

MPSC's sole consolation came from Y Shira Devi, who netted their only goal.

In the men's action, MPSC-B recovered from an early two-goal deficit to demolish Chingkheihunba PC 10-2 .

Despite trailing after the first chukker with O Rozer and A Basanta putting CPC 2-0 up, MPSC-B roared back in emphatic fashion.

H Abung Khooman led the charge with four goals, supported by T Pradeep's .
