Women's 11-23: THAU beat PTCC, but both teams reach semis

THAU outclassed PTCC by 67 runs to qualify for the semifinals of the 1st MNCA Women's U-23 One Day Trophy 2024-25.THAU opted to bat after winning the toss and posted a total of 165/9 in 35 overs.
Seterny Devi Brahmacharimayum top-scored with a steady 41 off 50 balls, while captain Niruta Thoudam contributed a brisk 38 off just 32 deliveries.
PTCC's bowlers, led by Bandana (2/16) and Khundrakpam Anjali Devi (2/31), kept the scoring in check bu t were unable to restrict THAU entirely.
In response, struggled against a disciplined THAU bowling attack, crumbling to 98 all out in 34.1 overs.
Laishram Teresa fought valiantly with 32 runs, but Konjengbam Nonibala Devi (3/13) and Niruta Thoudam (2/7) proved too potent, sealing a 67-run win for THAU and securing their place in the last four.
Despite losing the match, PTCC still qualified for the semifinals.
THAU will now face SHADOW in their semifinal clash on April 17, 2025 at THAU Ground, while PTCC will take on FORCE at SEDOC Ground on the same day.
Meanwhile, TCMDC thumped AL-AMEEN 109 runs in a one-sided encounter at THAU Ground.
However, neither team managed to secure a spot in the semifinals.
