Imphal, July 14 2018: Ch Iboyaima High School, Singjamei Kshetri Leikai defeated Bright Career Academy, Lamlai 4-0 in the third quarterfinal match today while Oriental English School, Keibi edged past Covenant English School, New Checkon 2-1 in the fourth quarterfinal match to enter semifinal of the Imphal East District Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2018 for U-14 Boys being organised under the aegis of District Youth Affairs and Sports Office (DYASO), Imphal East at Artificial Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak.

Unique Model Academy, Heingang and Goodwill Christian High School, Yaingangpokpi had already booked a semifinal berth yesterday defeating their respective rivals in a very convincing way.

In today's third quarterfinal match, Bright Career Academy lost to Ch Iboyaima High School, Singjamei Kshetri Leikai by 0-4 goals at Khuman Lampak turf ground.

Ksh Rahul (15', 34', 40') scored three goals while Loyalakpa scored a goal in the 30th minute of the match.

In the last quarterfinal match today, Oriental English School, Keibi had a narrow win over Covenant English School, New Checkon by 2-1 goals.

The first half of the match ended on a goalless draw as both the teams played on a cautious note.

However, Sanathoi struck the opener for Oriental English School in the 34th minute but Bru shot an equaliser for Covenant English School in the 46th minute to level the scoreline at 1-1 .

Sanathoi scored the winning goal for Oriental English School in the 49th minute to cement his team a place in the semifinal.

For U-14 Boys - Unique Model Academy, Heingang will lock horns with Ch Iboyaima High School, Singjamei Kshetri Leikai tomorrow in the first semifinal match at 7 am while Goodwill Christian High School, Yaingangpokpi will face Oriental English High School in the second semifinal match at 8.30 am at the same ground.

For U-17 Boys - Afros A Higher Secondary School, Khabeisoi will clash with Ch Iboyaima High School, Singjamei Wangma Kshetri Leikai tomorrow in the first semifinal match at 1.30 pm while Goodwill Christian High School, Yaingangpokpi will meet Bright Career Academy, Lamlai at 3 pm .
