Imphal, May 05: Don Bosco Churachandpur and Oxford English School, Phayeng have emerged champions of the Manipur Grassroot School Inter-district Tournament 2007-08 in the boys' and girls' categories respectively.

The championship for under eleven girls and boys was organised by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the aegis of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and All India Football Federation (AIFF) at Khuman Lampak practice ground.

Don Bosco, Churachandpur emerged champions in the boys' section without any defeat.

In their last league match today, Don Bosco Churachanpur beat Covenant High School, Churachandpur 4-1.With three wins out of their four matches, Stephen High School clinched the runners-up position.

In the girls' section, Oxford English School, Phayeng of Imphal West district bagged the league with a win and a draw.

Pari Imom Shindamshang, Langjing of Imphal West district got the runners-up title.

The winners and runners-up teams were also presented prizes by AMFA president.
