While appreciating the efforts being made by the state government to identity and arrest illegal migrants from different parts of the state, People's Action for National Democratic Movement (PANDAM) has demanded immediate implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP) in the state.
In a statement, Secretary IPR of PANDAM Rosni Takhellambam said that even though the efforts of the state government is commendable, there is a need to intensify the operation in some areas predominantly settled by Muslim communities.
Apart from that, the state government should also properly monitor areas of Kuki and Naga communities, where illegal migrants could easily settle.
