Imphal, March 10 2014 :
The due date for filing of e-TDS/TCS statements for Govt deductor (Central/State Govt DDO) who is mapped to a valid AIN for 2nd to 4th quarters of FY 2012-13 and 1st to 3rd quarters of FY 2013-14 is extended ex-post facto to March 31, 2014 .
The extension is a one-time exception in view of the special circumstances related to non-receipt of BINs from PAOs/DTOs and CDDOs, according to a statement issued by Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS), NER, Guwahati.
It further urged all Govt DDOs concerned to file e-TDS/TCS statements within the extended due date to insulate themselves from levy of mandatory late fee of Rs 200 per day as per provision of ITA, 1961 .
