Imphal, May 24 2013 : Imphal West district police have arrested former MLA of Uripok AC, Nameirakpam Nodiachand for allegedly luring the candidates of recruitment of Manipur Police recruitment with false promise.

A press release issued by Imphal West SP said that the former MLA in connivance with his accomplices namely, Chongtham Bilanta and Thounaojam Tondon cheated Constable aspirants with malafide intension for wrongful gain in the written test of the recruitment process.

Nodiachand was arrested on May 23 and produced before the Court today.

The SP also appealed the general public as well as the aspiring candidates to be cautious and not to believe in such false promises.
