Imphal, December 06: MP Mani Cheranamei and local MLA Samuel Jendai would attend the closing function of the Orange Festival scheduled to be held at Tamenglong district headquarters from December 18 to 19 under he aegis of State Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation.

This was decided during a meting held at the office chamber of Minister of Horticulture and Soil Conservation this afternoon.

The meeting also decided for making the CM O Ibobi Singh and Assembly Speaker TN Haokip to grace the inaugural function of the festival as chief guest and president respectively.

The meeting further discussed presenting cash reward of Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively to the winners of first three Best Growers.
