Jiribam (Imphal East), October 20 2015:
A 4-member team led by Manipur People's Party vice-president M Amutombi Singh visited Jiribam to inspect the Imphal-Jiribam road condition and to interact with the people of Jiribam in connection with the implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the State, reports Jiri News Network.
Speaking to media persons, M Amutombi said that the check-post set up along Assam-Manipur border to check the influx of illegal migrants will not be effective until other routes used by the illegal migrants are checked.
MPP Legal Cell chairman Advocate Y Priyokumar stated Jiribam should be transformed to a revenue district but before that, required infrastructure should to be set up in the area in order to deliver effective services to the people.
Constructed super market, hospital and ITI in Jiribam must be inaugurated by the State Government to cater to the needs of the people, said MPP general secretary A Sidam Meetei.
The party is also planning to add new members under MPP Jiribam in order to strengthen the party in Jiribam.
