AR saves snakebite victims

Imphal, August 10 2018:
Phundrei Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) saved life of a snake bite victim.
The victim Ganga Singh Tuljam (46), resident of Bengi, Thoubal was bitten by a poisonous snake and was immediately rushed to the unit hospital.
The patient was readily attended by the medical team under the Regimental Medical Officer and was despatched after due treatment.
In another case of snake bite, Achoumbi (60), a resident of Khumbong was bitten by poisonous snake and was immediately rushed to the unit hospital of Keithelmanbi Battalion.
The patient was readily attended by the medical team under the Regimental Medical Officer and was provided with necessary treatment and was referred to RIMS Imphal.
The timely action of medical team not only saved precious human lives but also reinforced good faith among the locals, said a statement of IGAR (South) .
