Imphal, May 20 2020: In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) has extended hand sanitizers, face masks to journalists working in Kangpokpi and Senapati districts.

The items were handed out today by a team of standing committee of AMWJU led by its president, Bijoy Kakchingtabam.

Bijoy said that the items were handed out considering the safety of the journalists who are working selflessly to provide right information to the people amidst the COVID-19 crisis.

It may be mentioned that, AMWJU has handed out the same material to the scribes working in Tamenglong, Thoubal, Kakching, Churachandpur and Bishnupur yesterday besides discussing the plight of journalists in the State.

The union will also be reaching out to the journalists in Ukhrul and other remaining districts, he added.
