Imphal, September 23:
Asking all concerned to extend their co-operation to the highway blockade called by the Apunba Lup to press for the complete revocation of the AFSPA from the State, the Working Committee of the Apunba Lup today said that it has the record of oil tankers, passenger buses and goods trucks which have been plying on the sly and asked all the vehicle owners to extend their cooperation.
In a statement the Lup said that the time has come to uproot the NCC which is providing basic military training of the Indian army to the youngsters and added that the much hyped discipline and character building is amply demonstrated by the excesses committed by the security personnel under the cover of the AFSPA.
