Imphal, May 11 2023: All Manipur Christian Organization (AMCO) has declared the forthcoming Mother's Day, which falls on May 14, a day of prayer and fasting and appealed to all Pastors, catechist and Church leaders to organise the event in their Churches and homes.

In a statement, AMCO urged people to observe the day of prayer and fasting to show the community's col-lective sympathy and solidarity towards the victims of violence and for the restoration of peace and normalcy in the State.

AMCO also appealed to all people of the State to stop threatening, persecuting and harassing the Meitei/ Meetei Christian community to ensure a peaceful coexistence among all religions.
