Imphal, October 31 2011: Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Chandel district organised a one-day training programme on cultivation of winter vegetables at Laiching Minou village today.

Pea and onion seeds were also distributed to the farmers in the programme participated by around 150 farmers from Laiching Minou and nearby villages.

The farmers were imparted training on cultivation of pea, onion and cabbage by resource persons of the department during the programme.

Laiching Minou village Chairman DK Song-in and Chandel District Horticulture Programme Officer CR Beningtha were the chief guest and president of the function respectively.
