District Hill Leaders' Day, Meeyamgi Numit held widely across different districts

Kjm/Kpi/Kak/Tpl/Tbl, April 28 2023: The District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit was held widely across many districts of the State.

KAMJONG
The District Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyam gi Numit for Kamjong district was observed today at Mawai village which is around 10 kms remote from Kasom Khullen sub-divisional headquarters organised by the District Administration, Kamjong.

Deputy Commissioner Rangnamei Rang Peter, Superintendent of Police P Manjit, top level police and civil officials, and other district level officers of the various Government departments in the district attended the event and heard the various grievances of the public as done in preceding months.

Giving his speech, Rangnamei Peter said that the initiative of such a public program from the side of the government is a boon of the public, and they should take maximum benefit of such programmes.

A total number of 35 District Level Offices (DLOs) opened their mobile stalls to cater to the various demands and grievances of the public.

KAKCHING
The District Administration, Kakching organized the 9th 'Meeyamgi Numit' (People's Day) at the Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex, Kakching.

Altogether 29 line departments opened their stalls for delivering public services and addressing public grievances during the day.

A total of 427 grievances/applications were received and 223 people have attended.

Kakching DC Somorjit Salam inspected the stalls.

Under the PMKSY scheme, District Officer, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Thoubal/Kakching have distributed 10 water pump sets to 10 beneficiaries.

The Department also distributed kharif vegetable seeds to selected beneficiaries under the MIDH scheme.

KANGPOKPI
The 9th District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit was held today at the Lhungtin Village Community Hall, Lhungtin Sub-Division along with the 23 line departments from 9 am onwards.

A total of 293 grievances were registered today, including 213 from health, 20 from Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, 25 from Social Welfare, 27 Handloom & Textile and 8 from Forest.

Kangpokpi DC, Kengoo Zuringla, IAS, welcomed the general public and guided them to address their grievances and other issues to the department officials without any hesitance so that they get maximum help and assistance.

She inspected various stalls opened by the departments at the community hall and insured for the smooth conduct of the event.

TENGNOUPAL
The 9th District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit for Tengnoupal district was held today at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Tengnoupal.

Tengnoupal DC Ranjan Yumnam and DLOs interacted with the village heads/ chairman/CSOs .

He also instructed the officials to give more awareness of the government beneficial schemes and expedite all the pending applications.

In today's event, the Health Department opened a stall of Jan Ayushdhi which enabled the public to buy medicine at subsidised rate and provided free health screening.

Deputy Commissioner, Sub Divisional Officers, Tengnoupal/ Machi/ Moreh and other DLOs and officials of all the line departments of the district interacted and assisted the people who turn up for availing the beneficiary schemes.

THOUBAL
The District Administration Thoubal organised Meeyamgi Numit today at the Election Counting Hall, DC Complex Thoubal.

The programme was led by Thoubal DC Ahanthem Subhash and attended by the officials of various Government departments by opening many stalls to address the queries and concerns of the public.

Around 300 grievances were received today.

The main highlight of the day held across different districts today included registration and distribution of health cards such as CMHT cards, providing benefits to the eligible beneficiaries of various Governmental schemes under different departments such as educational benefits, beneficiary cards and so on.

The Government officials also addressed the grievances and concerns of the people so as to resolve it by providing best possible solutions for their well-being and to extend maximum outreach.
