Imphal, October 05: Following the 12 hour bandh called by the Naga Hoho and the Naga Students Federation (NSF ) from 6 am of October 8 in all Naga inhabited areas to protest the twin bomb blast at Dimapur on Oct 2, the United Naga Council (UNC) and the All Naga Students� Association, Manipur ( ANSAM ) have asked all their respective federating units to ensure that the proposed bandh is successful.

United Naga Council president L Benjamin told Newmai News Network that the twin bomb blast at Dimapur was a crime against humanity.

The UNC leader said that the incidents at Dimapur should be condemned by all and urged all the Naga tribe presidents to ensure that the proposed bandh is observed in their respective areas.

Echoing the same sentiments, vice president of ANSAM Ngachonmi Chamroy has appealed to all the Naga students federating units to make the October 8 bandh effective.

Chamroy said that the culprits involved in the twin blast at Dimapur should be booked at the earliest.

Meanwhile, NSCN-IM Home Minister Rh Raising informed Newmai News Network today that till date the outfit�s investigating cell is yet to find any concrete clues with regard to the bomb blasts.

Raising said that investigating conducted by the NSCN-IM is on a war footing and added that any one found guilty would not be spared.

The NSCN-IM leader further said that the October-2 blasts were one of the worst things to have happened in "Nagalim".

Raising also said that there have been various forces trying to sabotage the ongoing Naga peace process.

Mention may be made that yesterday a 12-hour bandh in all Naga-inhabited areas was jointly called by the Naga Hoho, Naga Students� Federation, Naga Mothers� Association and Naga People�s Movement for Human Rights on Oct 8 from 6 am to 6 pm in protest against the bomb blasts at Dimapur in which 23 persons were killed and hundreds injured.

The four organizations in a joint press statement said, "it is only appropriate that we come together as one people and one voice to check and eradicate such occurrence".

The four bodies also decided to extend their support to the October 6 protest rally at Dimapur being organized by several organizations and spearheaded by the Naga Council.

"This is a moment and an opportunity to strengthen each other and help in checking the inhuman menace", the statement said.
