6 test positive

Imphal, September 20 2022: The State showed a slight increase in daily positivity rate at 2.9 percent during the last 24 hours against 1.1 percent the previous day as 6 individuals were found positive while testing 210 samples.

The 6 new cases, all from the general population, were reported from Imphal East (1), Imphal West (2), Ukhrul (1), Kakching (1) and Bishnupur (1).The addition of these new cases has pushed the cumulative number of positive cases in the State to 1,39,796 including 1,37,620 from general population and 5022 CAPF personnel.

Ten individuals were discharged today after completion of surveillance leaving 28 active cases (26-general population and 2-CAPF personnel).

The recovery rate stayed at 98.44 percent.

As many as 1958 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered yesterday at various centres.

Till yesterday the State had vaccinated 62.40 percent of its eligible population with the first dose of the vaccine while 54.65 percent had received their second dose.

2,59,480 people had also received their precaution dose.

Kangpokpi with 23.11 percent first dose vaccination and 18.32 percent second dose vaccination is the district with the least rate of vaccination while Kakching with 78.63 percent has vaccinated the most with first dose while Chandel with 72.29 percent had vaccinated the most with second dose till yesterday.
