The outlawed KCP celebrated its 45th raising at its 141 battalion, central headquarters, general headquarters, mobile units and at different places across the valley districts.
The main function held at 141 battalion was graced by KYKL/MYL chief of army staff K Nimai as chief guest, KCP general secretary H Poirei as president and KYKL deputy finance secretary L Ingba, KYKL deputy organisation secretary M Tompok and KCP/MFL chief of staff H Ibomcha as guests of honour.
The main features of the raising day function were offering of revolutionary salutes to all the martyrs who had laid down their lives for the cause of the revolution and reading out of the Central Committee's annual statement, according to a press release issued by the outfit's secretary in-charge, Information and Publicity S Mangal.
Speaking on the occasion, KYKL/MYL chief of army staff K Nimai underscored the growing need for unification of all the revolutionary organisations.
KCP general secretary H Poirei highlighted the importance of unity among the revolutionary organisations based on mutual trust which goes beyond circumstantial or conditional unification.
