Gandhi Jayanti observed, campaign begins

Imphal, October 02 2021: As in other parts of the country, a Pan-India Awareness cum outreach campaign of NALSA was launched in various court complexes of the state on Saturday along with observance of Gandhi Jayanti.

District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Imphal West launched the campaign at Cheirap Court Complex on Saturday, along with observance of Gandhi Jayanti.

The launch cum observance function was attended by District and Sessions Judge Imphal West A Guneshwar, AMBA president N Nilachandra, CJM Imphal West Y Somorjit, Bar and Bench members.

As part of the observance, floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.

On the other hand, DLSA, Senapati also launched the campaign and observed the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

District and Sessions Judge cum DLSA chairman Ibjen, CJM Senapati cum secretary A Tarunakumari and court staff attended the observance.

As part of the function, a cleanliness cum tree plantation drive was carried out in the court complexes of Senapati and Kangpokpi districts.

Panel lawyers and PLVs of Senapati and Kangpokpi districts will be carrying out similar activities in remote areas of the districts as part of the pan-India campaign, which will continue till October 14 .
