Career of in-service teacher in jeopardy

Imphal, May 29 2019: The Career of in-service teacher who are pursuing Diploma in Elementary Education has been put in jeopardy as their results for the 3rd and 4th semester are all placed under withheld.

Around 672 in-service teachers who write their exam in Lao Radiant Higher Secondary School Senapati District and Bishnulal High School Char Hajar Kangpokpi District were all resulted withheld for the 3rd and 4th Sem Exam .

Speaking to media on this regards at Chil Chil Asian Mission School, Kanglatombi in Senapati District, one representative of the in-service teachers Laijing Moshilpha said the reasons for keeping the results withheld was due an error by post office, which SPM has also written to the authority.

The teacher in distress, said the exam for 3rd sem was held on Dec 20 & 21 from 2:30 to 5:30 & the exam controllers deposited the same to post office for courier to NIOS at 6:30 pm.

However, due to system error, the postal booking timing was came out as 1:58 pm, ahead of the exam.

So due to this reason, the 3rd sem result was keep withheld & when communicated about the issue, NIOS authority responded that the result would be declare after 4th Sem.

However, the same wasn't made it on the day of results declaration on May 22, as all the results for 672 came as withheld.

As there weren't any fault on their side he appealed to declare the result within a stipulated time which will not affect the service career of the teachers.

Moshilpha further warned that different modes of agitation and fights through legal area will be done if their results were not declared in the stimulated time.

All the teachers in distress also held a meeting today, & decided to launced any types of agitation if the NIOS authority jeopardice their career, they were on training with a stipulated timing.
