Imphal, May 05: Taking strong exception against the abduction of Irrigation and Flood Control Department Assistant Engineer Irom Muhindro from his work place at Maphou Dam on April 29, the KLO/KLA has demanded the safe release of Muhindro within 24 hours.

Briefing media persons at its tactical headquarters today, KLO/KLA publicity secretary Addy Kuki disclosed that the Assistant Engineer was abducted by a gang of some 4/5 individuals in the name of the outfit's Timothy group.

Taking serious note of the abduction, the KLO/KLA also condemned it strongly.

Saying that the outfit has learnt of the details of the individuals involved in the abduction, Addy Kuki warned that the abductors will be awarded capital punishment in case AE Muhindro is not released within 24 hours.

Names and details of the abductors will also be published in the media if they refuse to pay heed to the warning.

Addy Kuki further denounced the act of earning personal gains by using the name of KLO/KLA.
