Healthy recipe competition held in Bishnupur

Bishnupur district administration in association with ICDS Cell, Department of Social Welfare, Bishnupur on Tuesday organised a 'District Level Competition of Healthy Recipes for Budding Chefs' at Kiyamba Shanglen, Bishnupur.
The programme was organised as a part of the month-long Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022, which aims to address the challenge of malnutrition in a mission-mode.
Bishnupur district deputy commissioner Lourembam Bikram, Municipal Council chairperson Maniyaima Singh, District Malaria Officer Dr Th Nabakishore Singh, district programme officer (ICDS Cell) Th Shantibala Devi, and Keinou Gram Panchayat pradhan Ng Sovana Devi were the dignitaries present at the event.
Speaking at the event, Lourembam Bikram informed that Poshan Maah is a flagship programme of the government which is in line with the sustainable development goals.
Reiterating the importance of active public participation in any government scheme, the deputy commissioner called upon all to focus on last mile delivery of service to intended beneficiaries for successful implementation of schemes.
Lauding anganwadi workers and helpers for their noble works in community mobilization during election and Covid vaccination, Bikram assured that the district administration will always be there for them and urged them to work with dedication at all times.
He also called upon anganwadi workers and helpers to participate and enrol themselves in the 'Special Enrolment Camp for Social Security Schemes' to be organised on September 22 by the district administration in collaboration with all the 7 municipal councils and banks.
ICDS Project, Bishnupur was adjudged as the winner in the healthy recipe competition while ICDS Project, Moirang bagged the second position.
