UNLF probes viral video involving gym trainer

Imphal, July 23 2024: The Pambei-led United National Liberation Front (UNLF) said that a three-member panel of the People's Tribunal of the outfit has thoroughly investigated the man-woman relationship involving gym trainer Warsim Chesam, which is going viral on social media at present.

According to statement issued by its media coordinator Charairongba Thokchom, the People's Tribunal constituted after the woman involved filed a formal complaint investigated the case thoroughly on July 21 and 22 .

To deliver fair justice at the earliest, the panel investigated the case without any interruption and found that Warsim Chesam's refusal to marry the woman after having physical relationship was the root cause of the case.

Warsim and the woman (name not mentioned) were known to each other since year 2001 and had intimate relationship.

The woman had even made known her love for Warsim and their secret relationship to Warsim's mother and stood solidly for her boyfriend.

However, Warsim's betrayal and dishonour of dignity of the woman and the resultant quarrel between them brought the matter on the social media platform, the UNLF statement cited findings of the panel.

On further investigation, the panel found that Warsim had physical relationship with some other women known to him in the past and this indeed is a huge disregard of women and great sin he committed to the society.

The panel also announced quantum of punishment to be awarded to Warsim Chesabam alias Chesam (27) son of Shirajuddin Chesam of Hatta Golapati with the first penalty being Warsim should no longer have relationship with the woman as she does not want to marry him.

It also said that Warsim has been banned from becoming Gym trainer for one year effective from July 24, 2024 and the tribunal will keep close watch on Warsim during the ban period during which he shall have to rectify his mistakes.

Another punishment that the tribunal announced is that Warsim should not indulge in any anti-social activity defying which befitting punishment would be awarded.
