Imphal, May 23 2021: Eminent theatre director Ratan Thiyam, who had tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to Raj Medicity for treatment, has recovered from Covid and is now at his residence in Uripok.

The founder of Chorus Repertory Theatre had been staying in home isolation and was subsequently admitted to Raj Medicity for treatment on May 12 .

He remained in the ICU for seven days and was later shifted to the ward for three days, before being discharged from the hospital on Saturday.

He is currently in isolation in his own house.

Meanwhile, many have expressed their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Raj Medicity for helping in the recovery of the theatre director.
