Election rallies, political conference organised

Imphal, November 14 2021: Republican Party of India (Athawale) Mani-pur State organised a rally, named Maheshwar gi Khongchat', along with many Manipuri film and Shumang Leela artistes, in Keishamthong AC on Sunday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the rally, RPI (Athawale) state president and intending candidate Thounaojam Maheshwar urged for peaceful conduct of the election not only in Keishamthong AC but also in the entire state.

The participation of Manipuri film and Shumang Leela artistes is to showcase the unity of the film industry and the desire for the same for the state.

He then informed that an application, titled Sinaiyok Kids Learning App' was launched on Sunday to mark the Children's Day celebration.

As part of the really, the participating film and Shumang Leela artistes distributed sweets to children in various places of the constituency.

Similarly, under the aegis of BJP intending candidate Laishom Santosh (Bonny), a bicycle and bike rally was held in and around Keishamthong assembly constituency in connection with 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election likely to be held in early part of 2022 .

The rally was flagged off early Sunday morning from Keishamthong Laishom Leirak by BJP Keishamthong Mandal president N Biren.

According to Laishom Santosh, the rally was organised to spread awareness to people about welfare schemes and development being implemented by the Narendra Modi led BJP government at the Centre and N Biren Singh led state government.

Another objective of the rally is to make the people aware on bringing BJP alone government in the state by electing at least 40 candidates of the party in the ensuing election.

People of the state are well aware of love and attention paid by BJP government at Centre to the state and renaming of Mount Harriet in Andaman & Nicobar islands as Mount Manipur is a vivid example, he said adding that the cherished dream of the people of Manipur had been realised with the implementation of ILP system in the state.

He also said that suffering of the people during COVID-19 pandemic could be lessened to a great extent with distribution of rice at free of cost by the BJP government.

In a Bishnupur, a bike rally, jointly organised by Curiam Kendra Election Campaign Committee, Toubul Election Central Committee and Toubul Election Youth Central Committee was taken out from Toubul to 14 villages in Oinam AC on Sunday in support of intending candidate Irengbam Nalini alias Memma.

The rally was flagged off from the ground of Ayangleima Mukna Association, Toubul and passed through Khoijuman, Ngaikhong Shiphai, Ngaikhong Khullen and Ngakchoupokpi, before stopping for prayers at the shrine of Ibudhou Tangleipung in Oinam along Tiddim road and culminating at Leimaram playground, wherein the biker's were warmlv welcomed by Keinou ZP member N Samananda Singh.

The bikers were again felicitated by Irengbam Nalini at her Irengbam Mamang Leikai residence.

Speaking in regard to the rally, Oinam Kendra Election Campaign Committee vice president Th Bir Singh urged for the people of Oinam to extend their support to Nalini in the upcoming polls.

On the other-hand, a political conference of Heisnam Subash, who is preparing to contest the upcoming assembly election in Khurai AC, was organised at Khomidok, near 7 MR on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, H Subash assured to carry out developmental works of all different departments and make Khurai AC self-sufficient.
