Traffic drive, awareness programme continue

Under the supervision of Traffic Control Police Wing SP Arambam Pramesh, traffic drive and awareness programme continue unabated.
To limit the use of modified silencer pipes, as well as prevent drinking and driving, sound and breathalyser tests were carried out in various areas, apart from awareness programmes to encourage adherence to traffic rules.
The Traffic Police under the supervision of SP Arambam Pramesh conducted traffic drive at Chingmeirong, Kwakeithel police out post and Kangla gate, E-challans were issued to individuals violating traffic rules, such as not wearing helmets, three persons travelling on a two-wheeler, and underage driving.
During the drive, a sound tester was used to measure the decibel level of silencer pipes.
Additionally, modified silencer pipes were removed and replaced with the original ones.
On Sunday, eight modified silencer pipes were removed and replaced with the standard ones.
With the aim of preventing drinking and driving, the Traffic Control Police Wing of Manipur conducted a drive using breathalyser in front of Kangla Gate.
Drivers found under the influence of liquor were not permitted to drive, and fines were imposed through e-challans.
The Traffic Control Police Wing also organised traffic awareness programmes in various areas.
Actions such as driving through red light, stopping beyond the stop line, and zebra crossing were prohibited, and the public educated on these rules.
