Tamenglong, June 26 2015 : The Bharatya Janata Party (BJP) Tamenglong district on Wednesday warned the Congress led state government to immediately initiate the oath taking ceremony process of the newly elected Autonomous District Council Members.

BJP Tamenglong will launch democratic means of agitation in the form of petition or memorandum even to call nlockade and strike on the ground of misusing power, breaking down of law and order, constitutional (Article 356- President Rule) machinery, neglecting to fulfill the due process of law, to install the elected members as lawmakers, it added.

The press statement jointly signed by Ningthaodai Gonmei, General Secretary BJP Tamenglong District; Poudin Riamei, General Secretary BJP Nungba Mandal and Joyson Kamei, active Member BJP Nungba Mandal said that BJP Tamenglong district will immediately pressure Hills Department of Manipur and its Minister to immediately initiate the oath taking ceremony process since they have been reluctant to fulfill the formality as required by the law.

The statement said now all fingers are pointed at the Congress government for encouraging horse-trading.

.Another reason for the Congress to further delay the due process shows the Congress government is planning to deny the rights of the tribal people in Manipur.

The alleged love of Congress to the tribal people exposed naked with its anti-tribal policy to ignore mandate expressed at the time of ADC Election, it added.

The anti- tribal approach of O Ibobi and the Deputy CM Gaikhangam duo is cear to one and all.

This demand was raised in many platforms from the students organizations level till to the top tribal apex organizations since long time back, the statement said.

The decline of seats won by the Congress in the recently held ADC election as compared to the 2010 was the direct result of anti- tribal policy of the Congress and therefore, the tribal people shifted their loyalty towards other political parties drifting away from the Congress.
