Red Cross organises folk song competition

Imphal, April 28 2024:
As part of its month-long commemoration of World Red Cross Day 2024, Indian Red Cress Society, Manipur State Branch (IRCS-MSB), organised a folk song competition at its MG Avenue office, here on Sunday.
In a statement, IRCS-MSB media coordinator Premjit Naoroibam disclosed that the competition, held in two categories - Junior Red Cross (JRC) and Youth Red Cross (YRC) - had the participation of 37 contestants.
In the JRC category, Samurailatpam Babli of Hill Valley Academy, Khomdram Roshi of Heritage Convent, and Arubam Janat Devi of Kamakhya Pemton College secured the first, second and third position respectively while Tongbram Montessori Devi of Oriental College, Pukhrihongbam Bidyaluxmi of Manipur University of Culture and Moirangthem Roshima Devi of Manipur University bagged the top three positions in the YRC category.
The statement further informed that alongside a blood donation camp on May 4, a Leader's Meet will be organised at RIMS on May 5 .
The Governor is scheduled to attend the valedictory function of World Red Cross Day on May 8 during which prizes will distributed to winners of the competitions conducted.
